Mongolia Shop directly links low-income producers with consumer markets and promotes products, which support living wages and safe and healthy conditions for workers in Mongolia.
Fair Trade Principles
In all our activities, we work according to fair trade principles, with good salary, social conditions and environmental concern. At the moment we are applying for Fair Trade certification.
Salary
Producers receive a salary that is roughly equal to the average salary in Mongolia, which people here consider a good pay.
Conditions
At the moment we can guarantee fair conditions for the producers who make the final product from the raw materials.
We buy the raw material from wool traders, and cannot, however, check that the nomadic family who sold the wool was well paid.
